It is with a deeply saddened heart that I extend my condolences to the Nigerian Bar Association, Sokoto Branch, and the entire legal community on the passing of one of its finest jurists, Hon. Justice Bello Duwale (Rtd), who departed this world last night.
Justice Duwale was not only a man of outstanding legal intellect, but also a symbol of humility, honour, and principled service. His remarkable contributions to the Bench reflected his lifelong dedication to justice and equity. He was deeply respected, not just for his judgments, but for the wisdom, patience, and compassion with which he carried out his judicial duties.

As the Holy Qur’an so eloquently states:
“To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:156).
His death is a painful loss, but we take solace in the noble legacy he has left behind—a legacy that will continue to inspire the legal profession and strengthen the pursuit of justice in Nigeria.
I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, grants him eternal rest in Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and grants his family, friends, and colleagues the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.
Ameen.
Signed:
Aare Olumuyiwa Akinboro, SAN
