Theme: LAW AND TECHNOLOGY: NAVIGATING THE FUTURE
29TH – 31ST JULY 2025 | 1PM
It is with great delight and professional pride that I extend my warmest felicitations to the distinguished leadership and esteemed members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ilesha Branch (Cradle Bar) on the auspicious occasion of your 2025 Law Week.

The chosen theme, “Law and Technology: Navigating the Future,” is not only thought-provoking but critically urgent. As a legal community, we must recognize that the practice of law can no longer remain static in an era where artificial intelligence, blockchain, and digital platforms are redefining access to justice and legal services.
This theme is a clarion call to all legal professionals—young and old—to embrace innovation, develop technological competence, and future-proof the profession while upholding the time-honoured values of justice, equity, and integrity.

As someone who has spent over three decades in legal advocacy, dispute resolution, institutional reform, and leadership within the Bar, I am particularly encouraged by this proactive and forward-looking approach of the Ilesha Branch. It reflects not only your commitment to legal excellence but also your vision for a just and technologically-empowered society.
I also commend the creative blend of professional development and community impact evident in your programme lineup—ranging from intellectual lectures and cultural performances to health walks, culinary celebration, and award recognitions. This is indeed a Law Week with heart, intellect, and spirit.
To all participants, I encourage you to engage deeply, network widely, and contribute meaningfully to the discourse. Let this be more than an event—let it be a transformative moment for the Bar and the future of legal practice in Nigeria.
I am honoured to serve as your keynote speaker and look forward to sharing ideas that will challenge, inspire, and equip us for the digital frontier ahead.
Long live the Cradle Bar.
Long live the Nigerian Bar Association.

“This theme speaks to the critical need for lawyers to adapt, engage, and shape the digital age while upholding the core principles of justice, equity, and the rule of law.”
Aare Akinboro further commended the leadership of the Ilesha Branch for adopting a holistic and forward-looking approach, noting the inclusion of sessions on health, art, culture, and community service.
He said such efforts reflect the branch’s commitment not only to the intellectual development of its members but also to their overall well-being and societal impact.
To the speakers, participants, and invited guests, he encouraged full engagement, knowledge sharing, and professional networking throughout the week, calling it an opportunity to recommit to the shared values and ethical foundations of the legal profession.
In closing, Akinboro expressed confidence in the success of the Law Week and urged the Cradle Bar to continue serving as a beacon of leadership and innovation within the Nigerian Bar Association.
“May this Law Week be impactful, inspiring, and a blueprint for future innovation within the Bar,” he said.
He concluded his message with a passionate salute:
“Long live the Cradle Bar. Long live the Nigerian Bar Association.”
