The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Osogbo Branch has announced a week-long celebration of its 2025 Law Week, themed “Appreciating the Gains of the Past in Moving Forward.”
The event, which features a rich lineup of activities, will bring together legal professionals, dignitaries, and thought leaders to reflect on the journey of legal development and the role of the Bar in governance.

At the heart of this prestigious occasion is the Keynote Lecture scheduled for 11:00 AM on May 29, 2025, where Aare Olumuyiwa Akinboro, SAN, FCIArb (UK), FCIMC, Life Bencher, will take the podium at Adolak Event Centre.
His keynote presentation titled:
“State and Local Government’s Independence under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (As Amended): A Myth or Reality?”
promises to be an incisive discourse on constitutionalism, federalism, and the realities of governance at subnational levels in Nigeria.
